Historically, the "Pays de Dieulefit" has always been a welcoming land. More recently, during the World War II, it was an asylum for many refugees. After an industrial past (glassware, fabrics, pottery...), the area has become a place for artists (potters, sculptors, painters ...). It is also a land gathering with young farmers respectful of the environment who also choose to sell their organic products at the Dieulefit Friday morning market.
Numerous cultural activities are proposed (exhibitions, concerts, and summer festivals). Hiking, biking and horseback riding are available on the trails and tours of Pays de Dieulefit. Many other outdoor activities are available as well. Please contact the Dieulefit Office du Tourisme.
